About Laura

Laura

Laura has extensive experience in the area of fitness both as a player and as a coach. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). She worked as a strength and conditioning coach at the collegiate level for 5 Conference Championship teams including 4 Olympians, 12 NCAA All-Americans and a National Player of the Year just to name a few.

Laura has taught Nutrition, Bio Mechanics, Weight Training, Anatomy and Physiology at the university level. For 2 years she worked as a Semi-Pro Strength and Conditioning coach working with minor league players who eventually feed into the Major League Soccer teams–most notably the Real Salt Lake team.

Since nutrition is an essential part of being healthy, Laura has become certified to teach the Precision Nutrition program. This program was developed by John Berardi who has created the field of exercise nutrition. Thousands of athletes and individuals have used this program to get into the best shape of their lives and stay that way.

As a collegiate athlete Laura was a point guard and made 4 NCAA Tournament appearances. Laura also was an NSCA All-American. She played basketball overseas in Paris, Amsterdam and Belgium. Her team was ranked in the Top 25 for 3 years and she was awarded the prestigious Leona Holbrook Award at the end of her college career.

Laura has a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science and has double Master Degrees in Counseling and Educational Leadership. Her minor is in Coaching. She coached at the collegiate level for 6 years before switching to the fitness industry where she has been for the past 13 years.
